My name is Joshua Vega and I live in Chicago, Illinois in the United States.
Ever since I was young, I was interested in two things: electronics and music. I’ve been playing around on keyboards since I was around 3 years old and I was making simple circuits at roughly the same time. Around 2007, I began composing music seriously and by 2011, I had developed a style of electronic music. In 2010, I discovered Internet Relay Chat (IRC) and became intensely interested in Information Technology.
I regularly produce, record, mix, and upload music in the style of chiptune-themed electronic dance music that draws influence from many different kinds of electronic music. I play two instruments: piano/keyboard and clarinet, both of which I have included in my songs.
I have been working with information technology extensively as a hobby. I manage 10 servers running Linux and Windows which host many services, including websites, instant messaging, and audio streaming. I also have experience with computer hardware, virtualization, and networking.
I am currently majoring in Networking Systems and Technology and have taken classes relating to networking, information security, and computer information systems. I have had a 4.0 GPA since Fall of 2014. After graduating, I hope to manage computer systems and networks, which are becoming an increasingly necessary component of any organization with the steady rise of information technology.
